
Siomai (Beef)
It’s an Asian snack originated from China but Filipino versions are way more delicate and delicious. Together with its Toyomansi dip with chili-garlic oil perfect as it is or paired with rice. I love this!

INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 3/4 cup onion (chopped)
- 3/4 cup carrots (chopped)
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- siomai wrapper
DIPPING SAUCE:
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp lemon or calamansi
HOW TO MAKE SIOMAI:
- Combine all the ingredients together except the wrapper.
- Wrap the meat in siomai wrapper by placing about 1 tbsp of meat in the center of the wrapper then press and seal with water all the sides to the middle leaving an open space on top. (See pictures above).
- Place all the wrapped meat in the steamer.
- Steam for 20-25 minutes.
- Serve with dipping sauce.
