Siomai (Beef)

It’s an Asian snack originated from China but Filipino versions are way more delicate and delicious. Together with its Toyomansi dip with chili-garlic oil perfect as it is or paired with rice. I love this!


  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 3/4 cup onion (chopped)
  • 3/4 cup carrots (chopped)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • siomai wrapper  


  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon or calamansi​


  • Combine all the ingredients together except the wrapper.
  • Wrap the meat in siomai wrapper by placing about 1 tbsp of meat in the center of the wrapper then press and seal with water all the sides to the middle leaving an open space on top.  (See pictures above).
  • Place all the wrapped meat in the steamer.
  • Steam for 20-25 minutes.
  • Serve with dipping sauce.
